Tip of the Week: Make Goals

This week's tip is to make goals!

Making goals helps motivate you to continue to working on family history. Whether you make short-term goals or long-term goals or both, just make a goal (or a few) and then reward yourself when you reach that goal!

This week my goal is to find three names to take to the temple. When I accomplish this goal, I plan to buy some ice cream and make a new goal!

"Set short-term [and long-term] goals that you can reach. Set goals that are well balanced, not too many nor too few, and not too high nor too low. Write down your attainable goals, and work on them according to their importance. Pray for divine guidance in your goal setting."- Elder M. Russell Ballard, "Keeping Life's Demands in Balance," Ensign, May 1987

I know that if we each prayerfully seek out goals in regards to our own family history work, we will be guided to the work which the Lord would have us do and He will bless us with the ability to reach our goals!
